Two worlds, one goal...

Our wishes for a beautiful, healthy and happy 2022!

People ask me why the Almhütte is so called, zwei Welten, two worlds. That's easy to explain. There are the Netherlands and Austria, winter and summer, cold and heat, windmills and mountains, Peter, who renovates and Ingrid, who takes care of, we and the world outside us, manager and guest. And so there are many more 2 sides. But in those two worlds there is one goal: the heart you do it with, the happiness you radiate and what you give to others.

And sometimes a person doesn't need much to be happy. It's in little things or even small moments that you'll think back to later, well, yes, of course, it didn't cost anything and did so well.

Such as video calling with my parents which gives golden contacts in these times. The sweet oldies are in the middle of a move to live closer to their youngest daughter (and my sister Karla). Something that they go for admirably positively at their age, although in their old age it takes much effort. Touching to see.

Or the sun that has been trying to dispel the cold all week when it rises in the morning. For nothing. After a cold night of -13 gr.C. that is a welcome warm-up. And then enjoy it on a bench outside, just like that, because it is possible as your own boss.

Or the walk in the Seebachtal near Mallnitz that we make together with our first guests to show the beautiful surroundings around the Almhütte. And how nice that our guests are so impressed. Hiking gives them peace and the clean mountain air lets them fall asleep deeply in the Alpinhütte in the evening. Also for nothing.

Or the good contact with the previous owners who we visited this week and where we get two large pieces (!!) of freshly baked Apfelstrudel and Kirschtorte with the coffee. Pfff, fortunately we are still in the renovation to get that off again. And I have to ask the recipe of that delicious Apple strudel. But how welcoming and cordial; a contact to cherish.

Or the relief when we can greet the neighbor (elderly, living alone, but sees and hears everything around him) after we were afraid that something had happened to him, since his light goes out every night at 10:00 am and it was still on at 11:00 this week. He wouldn't....? Fortunately, we thought the next morning, he is still alive. Let's continue to look out for each other in 2022.

And as I just wrote on a sign: All you need is love, coffee and WIFI. Because we also have the latter and costs our guests nothing. Still important nowadays...

From this week you can book via the website. We look forward to your visit!

Kindest regards,

Ingrid
